Kyoto, Japan

Kyoto is an wonderful and beautiful city. If you ever get a chance to visit Japan, I highly recommend visiting the many temples that surround Kyoto. They are absolutely amazing!

On our way to Fushimi Inari Shrine.

Before entering a Japanese Temple, there is a washing ritual which worshipers need to take note of. Performing this ritual purifies the visitor and shows respect to the temple. Take a provided ladle, fill it with fresh water and rinse both hands. Then transfer some water into your cupped hand, rinse your mouth and spit the water beside the fountain.

At the offering hall, throw a coin into the offering box, bow deeply twice, clap your hands twice, bow deeply once more and pray for a few seconds. If there is some type of gong, use it before praying in order to get the kami's attention.

These shrines are great for photo shoots. They have great dimensions.

I got some great shots of the leaves changing color.

This was the highlight of my day trip - the Kinkakuji Temple, aka The Golden Temple. I have never seen a temple like this, it was very awesome! There were tons and tons of people visiting here.
